Today began with the alarm beeping at 6.10am. We washed and dressed quickly, meeting another Swiss couple for a cup of tea and coffee before beginning our morning walk with our guide.
The five of us set off across the huge granite outcrops that give this area such a unique vista. Much of the walk was spent either climbing up or down the granite outcrops. It was quite a work out and luckily, John’s back seemed a little less stiff.
We came across various antelopes and small cuddly critters, plus a family of Dik Dik. These are the smallest antelopes of all and very cute indeed.
The arrived back at the lodge three hours later, hot and ready for breakfast. They make great fruit juice here, including Orange and Strawberry.
We then chilled out around the pool for most of the day, photographing the brightly coloured lizards and birds who visit from time to time. We sat with another couple from England, but they are the quietest people on the planet. We have not said a word to each other all day!!
