New Zealand - 27th Oct 2008 - Day 4

Sunshine at last. The sky was blue this morning and Auckland looked good. After breakfast we jumped in the car and began our long drive to our next destination, Russell. This little town is further North than Auckland.

As we drove out of Auckland the temperature began to rise. After a few hours we came across some beautiful sandy bays. We stopped at one and John managed a quick paddle. It was a shame that on such a great sunny day we were sitting in the car.
We tried to find some other bays to stop at on the way but were foiled by the roads which managed to miss the best bays.

We arrived at Russell for about 4.30pm. The town was very cute and the bay looked wonderful in the sun, with all the yachts.

Our B&B has a great view over the bay and harbor. We popped down to town for a bite to eat and hit the sack, tired and grumpy after a long, long drive!
